Elementary School in San Francisco, CA
Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy is a tiny, public alternative elementary school situated in the centre of the Castro District. We're committed to achieving academic excellence, teaching tolerance and nonviolence, celebrating diversity, and building a strong family - school - community connection. On June 25, 1996, San Francisco Unified School District's Board of Education voted to rename Douglass School to Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy.
