Health Care Legal Services (HCLS) contracts with various hospitals to assist their patients obtain coverage through Medi-Cal and/or government programs available to pay for the patient's hospital bill. The team at HCLS are specialists in processing difficult applications, qualifying patients prior to discharge, locating patients after discharge and obtaining the assistance of patients in the application process. In addition, the team is skilled in pursuing denied application through the state's fair hearing process.
