Religious Organization in Miami, FL Holy Family Parish was established on November 14th, 1959. The 1st masses were provided in the Red Feathers Farm in North Miami. Ground-breaking for the 1st Church took place on February eleventh, 1950 - the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Construction was entirely by voluntary aid of about 20 parishioers under the supervision of James Lynch. The 1st Mass was celebrated in the nearly-finished building on July 30th of that year. In November of that same year, Archibishop Hurley of St. Augustine dioces gave the Church its official name - The Church of the Holy Family and Msgr. Rowan T. Rastatter was named its 1st pastor.

If one of the parents is not Catholic but agrees to go forth with the child's baptism, he or she must sign the Consent to Enrollment Form. Both parents Driver's License or I.D. Godparent(s) must be a practicing Catholic and provide a sponsor letter from his or her church.
