Homeostasis is defined as a state of balance of the internal environment of the body that is maintained by dynamic processes of feedback and regulation. Chiropractors focus on the spine in relationship to the nervous system, which consists of your brain, spinal cord and spinal nerves. The nervous system controls all the systems in the body, such as immune, reproductive, digestive, and respiratory to name a few. If there is a compromise within the joints or structure of the spine, it will affect the communication line, resulting in nerve interference and unbalancing the body's homeostasis.
