Asphalt paving technology was relatively new in 1937, when Gene Hallock and Fred Stutzman established Hudson River Construction. They recognized that highway engineers wanted durable, flexible materials that could withstand the tough Northeast weather conditions and be cost competitive with cement concrete paving. Since that beginning in 1937, Hudson River Construction has offered the best quality paving materials, engineering, and construction for governmental and commercial paving projects throughout New York's Capital Region.
