He graduated from University of Michigan Medical School in 1982, and completed a PMR internship/residency at the University of Michigan in 1985. Board certifications include National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Board of Electro diagnostic Medicine, and American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. Dr. Friedman choose to specialize in PMR after spending time in the hospital his Uncle built in Detroit from the time he was a small child.
