Illinois Home Inspectors Association

The goal of the Illinois Home Inspectors' Association is to supply a common voice for the Illinois Home Inspectors by Illinois Home Inspectors and to aid grow the profession. As of January 2003 all Home Inspectors were required to become licensed by the Office of Banks and Real Estate. On April 1, 2004 The Governor consolidated OBRE into Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations. The Act, 225 ILCS 441/ states that it is unlawful for any person, other than a person who hold as a valid home inspection license issued pursuant to this act, to use the title.
