Implant Dentistry

Dentist in Indianapolis, IN
Dentist in Indianapolis, IN Although none of my family members are involved in dentistry, I became interested in the profession at an early age, 13. My own family dentist gave me a nice impression of the career as he was always pleasant, cheerful, and seemed to enjoy his work. Being interested in the life sciences and biology as a child, and one who liked to build things and was always using my father's tools, dentistry became very appealing. I entered college with the agenda of continuing onto dental school. In 1980, after 3 yrs. Of undergraduate studies in a pre-dental curriculum at Anderson University, Anderson, Indiana, I was accepted at IUSD as an out-of-state student.

Ozone Dentistry
read moreOzone application and therapy in the dental office has afforded many benefits and advantages previously not known to exist. Tooth decay is the only 'infection' that the body can't eliminate or repair under it's own accord. An ear infection or bronchitis can often be overcome by our bodies' immune system, or often with the aid of antibiotics, but once a tooth is infected with the bacteria that causes decay and deteriorates the tooth structure - the damage is irreparably done. Although it doesn't 'reverse' tooth decay, ozone therapy does assist in the 'remineralization' teeth with initial (shallow) decay as with children's teeth.

Orthodontic Bridges in Indianapolis
read moreA bonded bridge will keep teeth from drifting into spaces created from a missing tooth and helps preserve normal functionality and bite for the jaw (TMJ) joint. It is usually anchored to the teeth on either sides of the space, which gives the bridge strong support. Brushing a bridge is no different than brushing natural teeth, but special flossing is required to keep the bridge and surrounding tissue healthy. If you have missing teeth, bridges are a good option, but you might want to consider dental implants, which don't require special flossing.
read moreDental hygiene appointments are sometimes called "cleanings" because the teeth are thoroughly cleaned as part of the dental hygiene process. But oral health is more than just about having clean teeth. The integrity of your tooth and gums are also reviewed to prevent or treat periodontal disease and oral cancer. Your overall health is important to us and so after a gentle cleaning we will make sure you are aware of your oral health and what options you have. Part of oral health is recognizing how treatments to the mouth can affect the rest of the body and so that is why Dr. Reese has decided to stop using fluoride in favor of subgingival irrigation and other fluoride-free treatments.
Payment & Insurance Information
read moreYou can be confident in the care you are receiving from Dr. Reese at Indianapolis Dentistry. There is a difference beyond the original cost of your dental treatment beyond any 'copayment' that is deemed appropriate by a short sighted insurance administrator. The 'network savings' plan can look appealing on paper, but the reality is far from any savings in the long run and in expense to your optimum dental care. We can't provide comfortable and premium care at cut rate prices offered by network plans, but we will guarantee our work with your simple commitment to maintenance cleaning appointments!
