Inspection Services

A monthly scheduled track inspection includes a thorough visual and mechanical inspection of tracks, documentation of results for record-keeping purposes which meets FRA guidelines, and cost estimates on defective items. We encourage monthly inspections to all our clients so they are made aware of defective items immediately and corrective measures are taken before derailments occur. Our highly specialized track inspectors are available to offer inspection rates and answer any questions or concerns.

In addition to simply paving over tracks we also offer the options of timber, rubber, and concrete and often will quote all options in order for the owner to decide. Takeup & Removal
read moreIRC provides turnkey railroad track removal services, both small and large scale, including bridge demolition, railroad crossing removal, and site clearing for abandoned spur and drill tracks, yards, and mainline tracks. Depending on the quality and type of track materials removed, often these "take-ups" generate sufficient salvage value that it is not necessary for us to bill our customer. Cargill Project
read moreIRC performed a design-build of a new unloading facility for Cargill Salt at their Newark, California facility. Our work included the survey, design, construction staking, civil work and track construction of approximately 2,900' t.f. of new industrial trackage, including (3) each #9 turnouts, all served by the Union Pacific Railroad Co. Additional features of the project included the design and installation of a new unloading rack system, complete with sub-drainage and collector-pans. IRC was the general contractor on the project and oversaw the construction of the entire project from start to finish.
