Credit Union in Fort Wayne, IN
The Federal Credit Union Act authorizing the organization of Federal Credit Unions was passed in 1934. The goal of credit unions was to supply thrift among their membership and were made up of people with a common bond or common interest who would save their money together and make low interest loans to each other from the accumulated funds for useful purposes. Owned and run by its own members, the credit union is a mutual, nonprofit corporation. Our members elect a board of directors to manage the organization.
