About Us
read moreOur company grew up in Wahoo, Nebraska, and there we cultivated our reputation for treating our clients and employees like family. As we built our name in the industry and relationships with our clients, we learned more about their diverse needs. So, after specializing in a few core areas like bridge design and construction, we broadened our services and developed the expertise needed to help communities succeed. Now, we excel in engineering, architecture, surveying, planning, community engagement, environmental sciences, and funding.
Hazard Mitigation
read moreThis is an exemplary plan. It is easy-to-read, thorough, and concise. It is clear that thoughtful discussions occurred throughout the planning process; a tremendous amount of information is synthesized and summarized, and the planning team's care and attention to detail are evident throughout the plan. Jurisdictional profiles are well-constructed and exemplify the intent of mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate vulnerabilities. The planning team should be proud of this effort. The Papio-Missouri NRD coordinated a multi-jurisdictional HMP to cover all communities within our boundary.
Environmental Sciences
read moreAs a private client, we have enjoyed working with JEO. Their expertise and efficiency in permitting and designing the White Fox Mitigation Bank has provided us with a cost-efficient and long-term highly ecologically functioning stream and wetland mitigation bank. We had been considering the establishment of a wetland mitigation bank for some time and the team at JEO Consulting Group has been very helpful in guiding us through the process. Mike Heller has been our primary point of contact and he has provided valuable insight and expertise on everything from site selection to navigating the regulatory process to restoration planning.
Steve McCullough Joins Transportation
read moreWe are thrilled to announce that Steve McCullough has joined JEO as a senior project manager in Lincoln, Nebraska. McCullough brings over 25 years of management experience in developing solutions for transportation projects throughout the Midwest. His background encompasses both private and public sectors and includes the design and construction of interstates, expressways, rural highways, and urban arterial streets. Prior to JEO, McCullough served as the Assistant Roadway Design Engineer with the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT).
Architecture
read moreAs a small non-profit program, the process of purchasing and renovating our first building felt completely overwhelming. Fortunately, we chose JEO for their reputation of expertise and professionalism. From the very beginning, JEO has been more than an architecture firm. They have been a trusted partner and an indispensable resource throughout every step of the process. I have had the pleasure of working with JEO for many years. Recently I was appointed to the new Community Center committee where I worked with the architectural team of Marv Larsen and Corey Broderson.
Community Engagement
read moreWe employ proven best practices for public engagement, ranging from principles of risk communication to techniques recommended by the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2). Our expert strategies garner high stakeholder support. More than just dealing with conflict, we understand why a project might receive pushback from the public. Identifying the root of how stakeholders view a project allows us to better facilitate the discussion and make the public champions of the project.
Engineering
read moreWith an unwavering commitment to client success and public safety, our engineers create the right solutions to complex problems. We prioritize the process, not just the finish line, because we know that guiding you through the project gives you confidence in your decisions. Your goals matter, and through consistent communication and expert design, we ensure those goals are met. To thrive, communities require meticulous engineering. Our civil engineers specialize in the physical cornerstones of communities: drinking water, wastewater, storm water, and transportation, to name a few.
Funding
read moreAs trusted advisors, we explore all available resources to fund your project and explain the pros and cons of each funding source, so we can build individualized resource plans that make your project possible. Throughout the decades, we've developed close relationships with funding agencies, staying informed on funding availability, priorities, and program changes. We know how to coordinate your application process to make it competitive, not just eligible. JEO has impacted the City of Hickman's projects through the expertise of employees, such as Mr. Terry Meier, Funding and Community Development Specialist, with his knowledge of local, state and federal funding resources.
