Community Center in Coral Springs, FL The Soref JCC was incorporated as the Jewish Community Center of Greater Fort Lauderdale. On January 11, 1977. The JCC initially operated from the 1st floor of the Jewish Federation of Fort Lauderdale's building at 2999 NW 33rd Ave. In 1979 the JCC bought the 16-acre Florida Air Academy property in Plantation, Florida that became its main campus for serving the Broward County community. On Sunday January 6, 1980 more than 1, 000 people attended a ceremony on the front lawn of the campus whereby the 16-acres and 11 buildings were officially dedicated as The Perlman Family Campus.

Dr. Phillips and his wife Ava have been long-time leaders of the Soref JCC and esteemed members of our Jewish community. Dr. Phillips served as President of the Soref JCC from 1988 - 1990. He is the founder of Chabad of Plantation and a driving force in founding the David Posnack Hebrew Day School. Both Dr. Phillips and Ava were honored by the Soref JCC in 2017 with the Alvin Gross Jewish Community Service Award for their extraordinary contribution to our Jewish community.

read moreThe Brodzki Family Early Childhood Center is located at 6501 W. Sunrise Blvd., FL on the beautiful 16-acre Perlman Family Campus. It is a 12,000 square foot facility with 13 beautiful and specially designed classrooms. Each large room is equipped with age appropriate furniture, toys, reading areas and learning centers.
