K & M Floor Coating

In 1976 our father Ken Jones who already was in the Ace Hardware business, opened a paint firm called Michigan Industrial Paint Supply. Within a several years the firm was the biggest DuPont Industrial Coatings distributor in the US not to mention the biggest automotive re-finish paint provider to General Motors Corporation. In an effort to capitalize on the success, in 1985 he funded a new start up floor coating firm named Detroit Painting Company.
