Washington DC Couples Counseling
read moreI very much enjoy providing couples therapy and marriage counseling in Washington, DC. This is a vibrant, energetic, multi-cultural, and well-educated city, and I enjoy helping couples improve in yet another area of competence and connection that they bring to it. Through the end of this year (or, at least until infection numbers go way, way down), I am offering an option of video-based couples therapy/marriage counseling/premarital counseling via an easy-to-use, HIPAA-compliant platform called Doxy.me.
Insurance Policy
read moreMy services may be covered in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan, provided that your plan allows you to see out-or-network therapists. Unfortunately, I no longer choose to be directly affiliated with any insurance panels. However, most people receive partial reimbursement for the fees paid to me within four to six weeks after a claim is filed. Please note: I do not have a sliding-scale fee structure, except in cases of sudden disability or temporary job loss involving a patient/client/couple with whom I am already working.
Self-Esteem Therapy in DC
read moreSelf-esteem refers to the degree in which we value ourselves and feel confident. When self-esteem is low it greatly affects our well being and can lead to serious mental conditions, like depression. Feelings of low self-esteem are often sustained by constantly comparing oneself to others, and while these negative perceptions are rarely true, the feelings are difficult for patients to shake. Self-esteem is primarily learned during childhood, and certain experiences from those years-and our learned reactions to those experiences--may have inhibited its development and shaped who you have become in some less-than-healthy ways.
Patient Forms
read moreIf you would like me to coordinate care with another provider (for example, your psychiatrist, primary care physician, etc.), I would need a signed release of information form from you to do so.
