Lafayette Catholic Service Centers. Established in 1973, is the parent organization for eight diocesan sponsored programs delivering vital services to the poor and homeless of Acadiana. Programs situated in the Lafayette area include the St. Joseph Diner, St. Joseph Shelter for Men, St. Joseph Transitional Housing Program, St. Michael Center for Veterans, Bishop O'Donnell Transitional Housing Program, and the Monsignor Sigur Service Center. Programs situated in Opelousas include the New Life Center and New Life Child Care Center.

read moreIn partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, we provide meals to thousands each month through St. Joseph Diner. We rely on the community to assist our efforts through donations, along with volunteers to help us prepare and distribute meals. Diversion, utilities assistance, funeral assistance, and rehousing all happen through the Msgr. Sigur Center. Here we have our first encounter with those who are suffering. Stella Maris is a center for those unable to meet their basic hygiene needs at this time.
