Land Management

The trust land owned and operated by the University of Alaska has two primary origins: 1st, trust lands originally granted to the University by the federal government in accordance with two Acts of Congress dated March 4, 1915 and January 21, 1929; and 2nd, trust land granted to the University by the State of Alaska in 2005. These trust lands and other trust land which was subsequently deeded to the University by the State of Alaska, are for the exclusive use and benefit of the University of Alaska, and therefore, are not state public domain land.
