Legacy Doll Museum

Mary Ann Spinelli will give a lecture called Carved In History: Wooden Dolls 1680 - 1900 on Friday September 24 2010 at 7pm here at the museum. The topic will be wooden dolls. Most wooden dolls were not mass produced so they are very hard to find. Mary Ann said that she opened her eyes to wooden dolls about 7 years ago. She will be bringing examples from her collection as well as have a few for sale. Mary Ann says We will start in England during the reign of William and Mary, visit with Queen Anne in the early eighteenth century, then study the eras of the three King George's I, II and III.
