Like the Valley it serves, the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation is both respectful of its past and excited about its future. Begun as the Bethlehem Area Foundation in 1967, the Foundation recognized the growing regional identity of the Lehigh Valley and expanded its mandate in 1992 to serve all the residents of both Lehigh and Northampton Counties. Specific programs reach beyond these borders to work with the people of Monroe and Upper Bucks Counties.
