read moreWhat activities are you involved in at Lincoln?: I am a co-captain of, and team member on, the field hockey and squash teams. I am also co-president of the Green Key Society! Why an all-girls education?: I believe an all-girls education is special because it promotes confidence in girls to pursue their interests without pushback from others. Lincoln strongly emphasizes STEAM, something I have been able to take advantage of, and something I would not have taken advantage of, if it weren't for the school being all-girls.
Academic Philosophy
read moreLincoln is home to outstanding faculty and an innovative curriculum, both of which are dedicated to giving our students an academic experience they truly can't receive anywhere else. Our cutting-edge program is rooted in four academic pillars-character, curiosity, connection, and courage-that teach not just what our students need to know, but who they are and all they are capable of achieving. From our littlest learners to our rising seniors, Lincoln's academic program focuses on discovery through opportunity, empathy through perspective, community through a global lens, and confidence through first-hand experience.
Why Lincoln
read moreFounded in 1884, Lincoln operates at the intersection of tradition and innovation. As the nation's only independent school for girls based on Quaker values, we offer a unique experience for Kindergarten through Grade 12. What's more, we run a coed program from six weeks through Pre-Kindergarten. That's because a lifelong love of learning starts young. With that in mind, Lincoln focuses on character, cooperation and mutual respect across divisions. Acceptance and kindness reign supreme. Fittingly, our students live in different towns and embrace a range of religious practices.
Lincoln Essentials
read moreAt Lincoln, we are strong because of our all-girls status, not in spite of it. Because girls' education and well being is at the heart of all we do, students learn that speaking their minds is more valuable than playing it safe. They are taught to be confident, critical thinkers who carve out their place in a community built on trust and mutual respect. When girls are more focused on what they think than on how they look, there is nothing they can't accomplish. Bold minds begin at Lincoln. We embrace innovation, breaking new ground to provide a rigorous and vibrant learning environment that emphasizes intellectual challenge.

read moreWhy Lincoln?: To me, the core of Lincoln School is its supportive community. Within the classroom, teachers and students alike help each other learn, and outside of it, we encourage each other to take risks and expand our comfort zones within a safe space. Walking through the halls and common spaces, you always hear congratulations for performances, sports games, and presentations, and laughter constantly rings through the library, at an appropriate noise level, of course. This feeling of support is one of the most special aspects of Lincoln.
