Link Community School was established in 1969 by the Sisters of St. Dominic of Caldwell, New Jersey, in response to the Newark riots and the resulting devastation of the Central Ward community. The non-denominational independent middle school was set up to aid rebuild the community by delivering a unique educational opportunity for young people left in poverty. It was established on the belief that tiny class settings combined with opportunities for creative expression would transform potential dropouts into community leaders.

Current students, along with Link staff and parents will be online to introduce prospects. Link parents enjoyed a fun virtual Vision Board Party with Link's Dean of Students last Thursday evening. With Dean Ruth facilitating and using a variety of art supplies, some provided by Link, each participant fashioned.
