Loft Grill HB

It was rough being from the mainland and spending the summers on Oahu. My relatives were always teasing us about how funny we talked. Growing up as a ko-tonk wasn't easy, but I felt fortunate that I got to eat delicious Hawaiian food. I have fond memories of chasing the manapua truck through Waipahu, eating crackseed from Gems and of course, Zippy's Chili. The finest of times were spent with my cousins at the beach in Punaluu. The view from the Loft at the beach house still brings a smile and reminds me of saimin at midnight.
