He was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of California San Diego. From there, he went on to receive his Optometry Degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. He is a member of the California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and The American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.
