Dr. Lu graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree with Honor in Music. For her undergraduate studies, she majored in both music and pre-medicine. She taught music at the University of Hawaii for three years and taught piano for eight years privately before relocating to California for dental school training.
