Maryland Board Of Acupuncture

In 1997, several state Boards banded together to establish the Federation of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Regulatory Agencies (FAOMRA) This was done to fill the void at the national level for representation of state regulatory issues by boards and agencies regulating the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Profession. FAOMRA was created after two years of conversations with representatives of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine regulatory agencies and interested parties from within the profession. It was born from the concept that there needed to be an organization that represented those agencies that licensed and regulated the practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
