As United Methodists, we currently have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church's life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time. Two considerations are central to this endeavor: the sources from which we derive our theological affirmations and the criteria by which we assess the adequacy of our understanding and witness.

Family Ministry
read moreAt 1st Families, our mission is Shepherding families into a lifelong journey of discipleship. But it's more than combining Children, Youth, and Parent Ministry in one place, it's an intentional focus on collaborative, cohesive, and consistent messages and spiritual growth possibilities for families across all of our ministries. We know that faith is passed on through the family so we want to walk alongside families and parents on that journey. We will offer faith formation opportunities, fellowship for parents and their kids (together and separately), as well as studies and events designed throughout the journey to best support and equip all types of families.
