Metro Home/ Metro Cooks is an Alaskan owned business committed to bringing the most current styles in home furnishings, accessories, housewares and presents to our valued clients in Anchorage and Alaska. We currently have operated under the same ownership since we started in 1978. Originally called Wood Works we started as a tiny shop in a Downtown Anchorage office building. Eventually we expanded and quadrupled our size to fill the whole building! In 1984 we moved to our current location on Benson Blvd. In the Metro 570 Mall. Shortly after moving we changed our name to Metro Home!
