Mid-Cities Schools Cu

The credit union was established in 1937 as Mid-Cities Schools Credit Union by a group of Compton teachers. The 1st credit union director, Dr. Roy Strain, was an instructor at Compton Community College and ran the credit union out of his home without compensation for many years. That was more than 70 years ago and today, we're over $26 million in assets and serve more than 5, 000 members from a spacious location in the middle of Compton, California. We're pleased to be a credit union, this means we're a not-for-profit cooperative.
