Midwest Food Bank
read moreMidwest Food Bank currently distributes over $23 million worth of food to over 2,000 non-profits each month. We stand ready for disaster relief efforts and can get food-filled relief boxes to those in need, within 24 hours. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the valuable work of our volunteers, and most importantly, the blessings of God, Midwest Food Bank now shares the blessings worldwide. Nearly $280 million worth of food was distributed in 2019. We desperately want to live in a world where our services are no longer needed - where the concept of hunger is foreign and a thing of the past.
About Us
read moreA place where stocks of food, typically basic provisions and non-perishable items, are stored and distributed to front line agencies; and usually do not themselves give out food directly to the hungry. After the food is collected, sorted, and reviewed for quality, these food banks distribute it to non-profit community or government agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and schools. In 2020, Midwest Food Bank began its 17th year providing food and disaster relief. A food bank is the distribution facility for millions of pounds of food and other products that go out to the community.
