MiraCosta College's Letters Department Developmental English and the English as a Second Language (ESL) Composition Program have been awarded Advanced-Level Certification by the National Association for Developmental Education (NADE) MiraCosta is the 1st college in California to be awarded NADE Certification and is one of only forty-five colleges and universities in the US to have received such recognition. The NADE Certification Council exists to improve and enhance the success of students at all stages of academic preparation.
