The original residents of Scripps Ranch sent their kids to school in temporary facilities (converted houses) in nearby Mira Mesa until 1970. In 1970 a temporary school made from portable buildings was set up about a mile from the present site of the school. This school housed kindergarten through sixth grade. As the neighborhood grew more school space was needed, so another temporary facility was opened on the site of the present school. This was nicknamed Site 2.

read moreThank you to everyone who participated in the virtual book fair! We hope you had fun picking out new books to snuggle up with on winter break! Every purchase brought us closer to our goal of providing a Scholastic News subscription for our lower grade students. Running Club is in full lap mode, students can record their running time on our running club form. Participants will receive medals for every 100 laps ran (25 miles). We look forward to accumulating those laps! A few staff members collaborated this summer to create videos, self-guided presentations, social stories, and digital resources in the area of behavior, routines, and home learning environment.
