Established in 2000 by educational leaders in the East African community, this public charter school ultimately seeks to prepare students for successful and productive lives as US citizens while allowing them to retain their unique cultural heritage. Minnesota International Middle School (MIMS) provides both Arabic and English so that students are well prepared for a bi-cultural world. As a public charter middle school, MIMS is open to all students, but our program is inclusively designed to understand the unique requirements of international students and their families have in a culturally sensitive environment.
