Since 1915, Moe's has been a fixture on the University of Michigan's central campus. Back then, it was known as George J Moe Sport Shop. It was a complete-service sporting goods store where you could get everything.golf Clubs, ski boots, bowling balls, ice skates, baseball gloves, and even the required freshman beanie caps! In 1971, the business was bought by Edwin J Bud VanDeWege, who shaped and guided the store to become the wonderful Michigan tradition it is today. Under the VanDeWege family, the store grew and became the premier Michigan apparel store on campus.
