Morrison Smith Jewelers
Jeweler in Charlotte, NC
Like many kids who grow up in family jewelry businesses, Chuck Smith started his jewelry career pushing brooms and going to the post office. Eventually, in High School he learned the craft of polishing fine jewelry, and simple repair work. Charles, Chuck's father, insisted that he only hired college graduates. With that Chuck pursued his interests of math and science at NC State University. Chuck graduated NC State with a Nuclear Engineering degree. After working for the federal government overhauling nuclear submarines for five years, he rejoined the family jewelry business in 1990.

Ring Setting Education
read moreSolitaires are great if you have a stunning singular stone that has been passed down through the generations as an heirloom, many choose to display it in a classic Solitaire setting. This setting generally allows for the maximum amount of sparkle by allowing light to pass in through the bottom sections of the ring. Side-Stone is similar to the Three Stone. Side Stone settings are made up of a main stone and two alternative cuts with a greater difference in hierarchy. Side Stones offer an elegant transition from stone to band and frame the main stone in a lovely way.
