Veterinarians in New Haven, CT New Haven Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine was established in 1975 by few local veterinarians to improve their personal abilities to practice veterinary medicine through centralization of team, equipment, facilities and ideas. We're a tiny-animal practice, which means our primary focus is on dogs and cats. Our current in-house team includes six doctors supported by a hospital team of nurses, technicians, handlers and administrators. Central Hospital is supported by 10 associated member doctor clinics in the greater New Haven area.

What Is An Emergency
read moreAn emergency can be defined as a sudden generally unexpected condition requiring IMMEDIATE care. Our knowledgeable and caring staff can help you determine whether or not a situation requires you to be seen right away. Below are symptoms to help you determine if a situation is an emergency. Patient's seen on an emergency basis are triaged by our team soon after arrival. Triage involves evaluating each patient's condition briefly to determine the appropriate course of action. If immediate care is not required, your pet will be seen as soon as a doctor is available.

We treat animals with allergies and allergy-induced skin diseases, infections and non-infectious skin diseases, parasitic skin diseases, autoimmune diseases, and can recognize the skin manifestations of systemic disease, including internal cancers. Additionally, our dermatology department is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, cysts and other tumors of the skin and chronic infections and inflammatory conditions of the ears.

Central Hospital For Veterinary Medicine shares all records of any treatment and care your pet receives here with your own veterinarian so all care provided by us can be included in your pet's complete health record.
