New Life is a Bible-believing church, welcoming everyone regardless of background or beliefs. We're made up of people from many walks of life. Our local church was began in a home in Milwaukie more than three decades ago. We're affiliated with The Foursquare Church, established in California in 1923. On an ongoing basis, we see the healing ministry of Jesus taking place. This is what was promised by Isaiah the prophet in the Old Testament (see Isaiah 61:1-3 on www. Biblegateway.com) This section of scripture is traditionally subtitled The Year of the Lord's Favor. We currently have seen God's favor in many ways in the history and formation of our church.

We are a smaller congregation who can experience dynamic relationships and a greater sense of family and belonging than some mega churches. We are glad God makes room for both! Our mission is to help people discover hope, family, and purpose in Christ. Connie Schweitzer is married to Don. She is employed full time in the financial industry, but is called to ministry and serves at New Life outside of her 9 to 5 job.
We Believe
read moreWe believe that Adam and Eve, the precursors of the entire human race, were created in the image of God; however, they disobeyed God and became sinners. Through Adam, all people inherited sin's nature and consequences, and all are in need of a Redeemer (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12, 19). We believe that Christ died for all of us while we were still sinners; He took the punishment for our sin. With His own blood, He purchased salvation and redemption for all who believe in Him (John 3:16; Isaiah 53:5; Titus 2:14).
Children's Ministry
read moreOur children's ministries currently serves kids ages birth through 5th grade. We take seriously the responsibility of care for children, and we are pioneers in our community for child safety training for all of our teachers and helpers, including criminal background checks and personal interviews. You will find a group of loving teachers and helpers here. Classes and activities are held each Sunday at the 10:00 AM service.
