New Lutheran High School
High School in Green Bay, WI
The seeds for the establishment of Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran High School were sown during the summer of 1975 when two interested parties were moved to determine the feasibility of starting a Lutheran high school in the Green Bay area. They conducted a survey which revealed sufficient interest in Lutheran secondary education to warrant proceeding. Out of a meeting at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, a steering committee was established, and NEWLHS was on its way to becoming a reality. In 1977, the school began out with 34 students while situated at Pilgrim Lutheran School.

The trip is planned through an organization called Next Step Ministries, which is a non-profit organization that creates long-lasting relationships with communities that it serves. This experience is considered a multi-generational opportunity as we have partnered with a local church, opening it up to middle school students and family members alike.

An online application is available through our aid assessment partner, FACTS. This organization assesses applicants' financial information and generates a report for the school to determine the size of the grant needed. Most applications are accepted with at least 50% of the demonstrated need met by the school.

Track and Field is a newer addition to our many offerings of athletics at NEW Lutheran. Both the girls and boys season participate in the spring time. Last season we had many student-athletes compete in the regional finals, as well as a couple students making it to sectional finals.
