Housed in a six story building on East 53rd Street, Newel's collection of decorative arts and antiques encompasses 17th Century European Renaissance styles through mid-twentieth Century designs. This incredible antiques collection has attracted an international roster of interior designers and collectors. Established in 1939 by Meyer Newman as a prop house for Broadway shows, Newel is now owned and run by third generation family member, Lewis J. Baer.
