Since we issued our 1st medical liability insurance policy on November 1, 1975, NORCAL Mutual has expanded from insuring a several hundred physicians in Northern California to being the biggest medical liability insurer by number of insureds in California and Rhode Island, and the 2nd biggest in Alaska. Today, we insure over 20, 000 physicians, medical groups, clinics, hospitals and ancillary healthcare facilities. We continually aim to remain true to our history and our values.
