read moreLVCC is proud to provide Pennsylvania's state-funded preschool program, Pre-K Counts. The program is free for those who qualify and operates on an academic calendar year (September - June). If your child is currently three or four years old and your household income falls at or below 300% of the federal poverty level approx. Federal poverty levels are used to determine income eligibility for Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts. Household income must fall at or below 300% of the federal poverty level to be eligible.

read moreOur preschool classrooms encourage young learners to explore the environment and work with interesting materials. Classrooms are spacious with learning centers for activities such as art, dramatic play, math and science, block building, manipulative toys, reading and computer technology. Each day includes teacher-guided class activities as well as opportunities for children to learn and play independently. In the preschool program, your child will begin to develop organization, self-control and self-awareness, and build pre-reading and pre-writing skills.

read moreBased on the unique schedule of each child, our program is an extension of the home. We provide a warm, safe and stimulating environment for children to grow. Cuddling, rocking and planned developmental activities are important aspects of the program. Activities are designed to promote language development; fine motor skills including eye tracking and hand-eye coordination; and large motor skills such as crawling, creeping and walking. LVCC ensures that each center is staffed by experienced, degreed teachers.
