NW Fencing Club

NW Fencing Club was organized by Michael Vaksman, a Ukrainian Champion, in 1991. Upon arrival to Seattle, Mr. Vaksman made his presence recognized by winning Washington State at UW, and taking fourth place in staff US Nationals. When he advertised for free fencing lessons to anyone who would be capable to get one point in a bout from Michael at the Seattle University Connolly Center, 100's of people responded to the challenge. Although it turned out to be a long day for Michael, he went home undefeated and with a very sizable group of students.
