Okinawan Karate Club

The art of karate has been passed from generation to generation through oral tradition and hand to hand teaching. The Okinawan Karate Club of Ann Arbor is a group committed to the teaching of Grandmaster Eizo Shimabukuro's Karate, Kobudo, and Jujitsu. We provide classes for women, teens, and kids. Head Instructor Barbara L. Christensen hold the rank of sixth degree black belt and trains directly with Shimabukuro O'Sensei. Our progams are created to suit all ages and athetic abilities. The Lil Dragons are geared for young karateka ages 4 - 6 as a head start program.
