Overcoming Church Of God

The Overcoming Church of God Faith Temple. Was established and organized in 1938 by the late Bishop M. C. Griffin Bishop Griffin, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, started laying the foundation for the Overcoming Church in 1935 by preaching tent revivals throughout the city of Macon, Georgia. The Bishop erected a huge tent at the corner of Ell Street and Broadway with a few faithful followers and believers in Christ Jesus. Bishop Griffin continued preaching and lifting up the name of Jesus and church membership increased greatly.
