On Tuesday, February 23, the Metro Nashville Board of Education voted to extend the school day at all MNPS schools by 30 minutes for a 28-day window this spring. This extra learning time will aid the district make up two school days missed as a result of snow. To give families, teachers and schools time to plan for the schedule change; the 30-minute extended day will take effect Monday, March 8 and will run through Wednesday, April 28.
