Roanoke Valley Driver Training School specializes in driver education for the teenage driver. We provide both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel driver training. The classroom stage of driver training is taught during the months of June and July only. Behind the wheel driver training is taught twelve months a year. We think you will appreciate our knowledge in training teen-agers. Information on both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel driver training can be found on the following pages. Meet The Instructors
read moreJay Childress was born in Roanoke, Virginia. He is the co-founder of the Roanoke Valley Driver Training School along with his wife, Nancy. Jay has retired from Roanoke City Schools after 33 years of service. He taught at James Madison Middle School for 27 years, serving 32 seasons as baseball coach. Jay has 39 years of experience as a driving instructor. Jay lives in Vinton, Virginia with his wife Nancy, and they have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren. Edgar Moser was born and raised in Giles County and has been teaching for 40 years.
