Spray Decking Alternative
read moreThe secret to sparkling pool water is the right filter material. We have found a medium which is superior to traditional sand based filtration and less troublesome than Zeolite: Filter Crystal manufactured from finely crushed recycled glass, which provides outstanding water clarity and quality - a direct replacement for sand. And as it's made of 100% recycled glass, it's a truly ecological alternative! Glass particles have a slight negative charge on their surface, which tends to hold onto fine particles and positively charged iron and manganese ions during the filtration cycle.
Pool Waterline Features
read moreThe importance of considering the area immediately between the water in your pool and the decking that surrounds it, should not be overlooked. For both formal and free-form pools, a few simple but effective decisions on the color and placement of tiles can create a complimentary yet stunning visual element. Not every style of pool should incorporate tiles into the waterline design. However stone or slate can be used very effectively under the pool edge. For a more natural looking pool, boulders or rocks, often locally sourced, allow a more subtle effect.
Fencing
read moreConsideration should be given when deciding on how to define the area around your pool - and whether to actually separate it within an 'fenced enclosure'. Ensuring your swimming pool is 'contained' and safe when young children are present is very important. In our initial design consultation this subject is discussed with customers - to guide you through your obligations and the possibilities for creating a safer pool environment. Even where you may not need to restrict entry to your pool to make it 'child-safe', the design and materials used for landscaping and boundary definitions will have a dramatic effect on the overall aesthetic.
Custom Pool Water Features
read moreThe addition of water features will lift your pool to another visual dimension. Though consideration is advised - to ensure everything remains in the 'style' you are planning to achieve. Waterfalls are a popular choice - yet have unlimited conceptual potential to give you a unique pool. Over the years Ryan has created numerous, highly varied and imaginative waterfalls - from water shooting out of walls to more 'natural' styles cascading down rocks.
Reviews for Rocky Mountain Pools
read moreWe interviewed several pool companies in the Boise area and ultimately went with Ryan and Rocky Mountain Pools because we felt Ryan was the most informative and hands on contractor we spoke with. We had a wonderful experience! Ryan was onsite a lot of the time with all the excavating and digging. He kept us informed every step of the way and if we had any questions he got back to us immediately. We love our pool, and highly recommend going with Rocky Mountain. Rocky Mountain Pools installed a pool for us in the summer of 2016.
Custom Pool Constuction Process
read moreThis is where you can really see the concept of the pool coming to life. The shot crete (sprayed concrete) method does NOT require over excavation' - greatly minimizing any possible damage to the garden, and subsequent settlement of paving around the pool, as with other methods of construction. We take pride in our ability to minimize our impact on the area surrounding the pool (grass/plants, etc) - as you can see from our "before and after" photos. This is the skeletal framework of the structure.
Custom Design Options
read moreRealizing your dream pool takes imagination, clear communication and experience. Any design- whether a sleek, urban lap pool or an organic, free form creation must be carefully integrated into the site. The location, proportion, shape, materials used, decking, and landscaping need to be carefully considered. It will also be those 'finishing touches' at the waterline, and on any steps, as well as any water-features like waterfalls, that will really enhance the character of your pool. After all, once a pool is built, it is difficult to turn this large, unyielding vessel back into a lawn or garden.
