Rollingwood Academy's goal is to provide each student with the skills necessary to enter first grade, whether the child moves on to a private or public school setting. Rollingwood Academy's preschool and prekindergarten program enhance a student's success, however, we have many students that enter our kindergarten program as a first year student. We provide a variety of individual, small group and large group activities throughout our daily program.

The child day center agrees to notify parent(s)/guardian(s) whenever the child becomes ill and parent(s)/guardian(s) will arrange to have the child picked up as soon as possible if so requested by the center. The parent(s)/guardian(s) authorize the child day center to obtain immediate medical care if any emergency occurs when the parent(s)/guardian(s) cannot be located immediately. The parent(s)/guardian(s) agree to inform the center within 24 hours or the next business day after his child or any member of the immediate household has developed a reportable communicable disease, as defined by the State Board of Health, except for life threatening diseases which must be reported immediately.

read moreChildren may enter our program at 18 months of age. All students move at their own pace, within a developmentally appropriate environment. Social skills, fine and gross motor skills and language development are fostered through an environment rich in phonics and whole language instruction, math and science. Each classroom follows a progressive curriculum preparing them for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Children enter the preschool program at age 2 to 4 years of age. At age 5, and with the invitation of the teacher, children may enter the kindergarten program.
