read moreIn early April, a cat from the Bakersfield area tested positive for rabies. Approximately 10 people were treated for possible exposure. We are currently recommending that ALL pets be vaccinated for rabies. Effective immediately, we will no longer accept pets for spays, neuters, dentals, etc without proof of rabies. Please contact us if you have any questions. After Sophie binged on approximately 60 pieces of sugarless gum, what stands out in the minds of her owners Andi Dennison and Peter Johnson isn't the six days of intensive treatment for the yellow Labrador retriever, nor the $7,000 medical bill.

read moreDr Sheahan and I would like to extend our appreciation to Bill and Kim Burr, long time skydiving friends of ours, who were instrumental in Jack's Transplant by volunteering the use of their airplane to fly Jack to his Appointments, and his Transplant at UC Davis. Further, Kim stepped WAY outside her comfort zone to drive up to Sacramento and take care of Jack for 2 weeks. We owe them a big debt of gratutitude.
