Founded in Syracuse in 1943, Ruston Paving often traveled to the Rochester area for select projects. As the commute became more frequent, Ruston Paving recognized this opportunity by opening a new division here. Although the Western New York Division initially operated utilizing resources from the Central New York Division, it quickly became a self sufficient operation.

It is here where the blueprint was drafted by founder Mike Ruston to form a company known for providing quality work at a competitive price. Mike's core values continue to guide the company's vision and remain the basis for our corporate mission. From this central location in Syracuse, the Central New York Division is able to provide service and support for our other divisions within the state.

The Greater Richmond Region includes the cities of Richmond, Petersburg, Hopewell and Colonial Heights. In the past, Ruston Paving was able to satisfy the demand for work in Central Virginia from our Northern VA Division and our Triangle Region NC Division. Ideally located halfway between these two locations and acting as one of the gateways to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (Norfolk, Newport News and Virginia Beach), Central Virginia quickly became an obvious choice for expansion.
