read moreDr. Moody McCall purchased San Pablo Animal Hospital in 1989 as a solo practice when the previous doctor retired. The hospital was originally housed in a converted house near the intersection of Atlantic Blvd. The hospital now has room for additional veterinary services, boarding, grooming, a pharmacy, surgery suite, retail items, a play area for your children, fenced areas for your pets, and room for an additional doctor. Dr. Heidi Chupp joined the practice in 2001. We at San Pablo Animal Hospital take pride in our relationships with our clients.

read moreIf you are traveling with your pet to another state or country, you may need a certified health certificate. Some states (Hawaii) and countries require proof that your pet is up to date on his or her vaccinations and has an adequate rabies titer. In some cases, your pet must also have been examined by a veterinarian within 10 days prior to travel. This is to certify that your pet appeared free of any disease. If traveling to Hawaii or to a foreign country, these documents take considerable time and planning.

Spays, neuters, declaws, mass removals, c-section deliveries, orthopedics, exploratory surgery, soft tissue surgery, lumpectomies, and cancer and oral surgeries are just some of the procedures that we routinely perform in-house. If your pet needs a special surgical procedure, we can refer your case to a board-certified veterinary surgeon. During and after surgery, your pet will be administered pain medication and monitored closely in our ICU and treatment area.
