Medical Center in Aurora, CO The University of Colorado Depression Center was began in 2008 with the generous support of George Wiegers of Vail, Colorado. Inspired by the vision to build a national network of Depression Centers, Wiegers saw an opportunity to bring a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary disciplinary depression facility to Colorado. Mr. Wiegers approached Dr. Robert Freedman, Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Denver with his vision for establishing the center, and through their partnership.
